UMass flute professor Cobus du Toit has released a comprehensive series of recordings of all the flute chamber works by 20th century French composer Jacques Cast茅r猫de on Naxos Records. 鈥淛acques Cast茅r猫de: Complete Works for Flute鈥 was released in three parts, with separate CD鈥檚 released in October 2019 as well as January and June of 2020. The recordings took place in late 2017 at the Robert and Judi Newman Center鈥檚 Hamilton Hall on the University of Denver campus, a space known for its impeccable acoustics, as well as at Firehouse 12 studios in New Haven, Connecticut.

The  (DOE) announced this week that it has named 76 scientists from across the country, including assistant professor of physics Chen Wang, to receive 鈥渟ignificant funding for research鈥 with its Early Career Award.
