Statement by UMass President Marty Meehan on the Commonwealth’s FY22 budget
I want to express my sincere appreciation to Governor Baker, Senate President Spilka, Speaker Mariano, and their colleagues in the Â鶹ÊÓƵ legislature for their support of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ in this year’s budget. This support, combined with the federal investments advocated for by our congressional delegation and the innovative management of our campuses, have positioned the university to serve as a central pillar in the Commonwealth’s post-pandemic economic recovery.
